This update introduces a faster way to capture and organize patient information while you're on the move. Whether you're documenting a consultation, recording observations between rounds, or beginning a new patient encounter, Vetscribe now helps your team capture information at the moment of care and organize it for completion later. By bringing quick documentation tools and patient charting workflows closer together, clinics can reduce administrative friction while maintaining continuity of care across the team.
Feature
Scribe button
We've introduced a new floating Scribe action button that gives your team instant access to common documentation workflows from anywhere in the app.
With a single tap, the Scribe button expands into:
• Quick Note
• Quick Audio Record
• Quick Capture
• Patient Queue
This allows veterinarians and non-veterinary professionals to document observations, capture information, and begin charting without navigating through multiple screens.

Feature
Quick Actions for Documentation
Quick Notes, Audio Recordings, and Captures can now be linked directly to a patient or saved for assignment later.
If no patient is currently selected, Vetscribe automatically stores these entries in a new Documentation Queue, allowing your team to continue documenting without interruption and organize records later.
This ensures valuable clinical information is never lost simply because a patient was not selected at the time of capture.

Feature
Patient Queue for Point-of-Care Charting
A new Patient Queue workflow has been added to support patient charting directly from Vetscribe Mobile.
The Patient Queue displays patients currently awaiting Check-In and Triage
Selecting a patient from the queue launches the chief complaint view managed by Trina, the Triage Nursing Assistant. From there, users can choose Start Patient Charting to begin documenting the case immediately.
This creates a more streamlined transition from patient intake to clinical documentation.

Feature
Mobile-Initiated Patient Charting
Patient charting can now be initiated directly from Vetscribe Mobile through the Patient Queue workflow.
Once charting begins, Charlie processes newly captured information and automatically structures it into the patient's clinical record. This enables teams to start documentation at the point of care while preserving the flexibility to continue the broader workflow later on Vetscribe Web.

Why This Matters
Veterinary teams often capture information while moving between consultations, treatments, rounds, and triage activities. Release 5.6.2 makes it easier to document those moments immediately rather than relying on memory or delayed paperwork.
The result is:
• Faster point-of-care documentation
• Better continuity between intake and charting
• Less risk of losing clinical observations
• Improved organization through Documentation Queue
• Smoother transitions between mobile and web workflows
Because every moment of care counts.
